But during the peak of the Despacito's popularity in 2017, there were 19 mainly Spanish tracks which made it into the top 100. In 2020, there were 41. Justin Bieber remixed Despacito 2017 in a bilingual version. Then, various artists collaborated with Reggaeton stars like Drake and Bad Bunny with MIA (2018), Madonna and Maluma together with Medellin 2019 The mainstreaming of reggaeton was an issue for certain performers during the year 2020. Rauw alejandro and a young generation, however, determined to maintain the style. The musician incorporated electronic dance music as well as other styles into his music.
