Paula Patton is an actress and producer who is best known for her starring roles in the action-spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the drama film Precious. The majority of her childhood was lived in Los Angeles where she came from a middle class family. She was raised by a mother, who was a fan of films. Paula was involved in her school's co-curricular activities and especially captivated by the dramatic arts. Paula loved playing the role of an actor with her classmates and took part in school's stage shows. She performed in numerous productions at her high school Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and then decided to pursue acting as her career. She was enrolled in The University of Southern California's summer program, and enjoyed tremendously. She received a 3-month contract to make documentaries on PBS. After she had completed the assignment in three months Her first assignment was to work in production for documentaries on television. Then she began producing documentaries. Although she enjoyed her work however, she always wanted acting roles. Her acting career began with minor roles with Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. Her roles have since been seen in a variety of films and television shows.
